The benefits and risks of therapy should be carefully weighed for each patient before initiating treatment with ELADYNOS. Please review the full Product Information before prescribing. ELADYNOS® (abaloparatide) is indicated for the treatment of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women at increased risk of fracture. Adverse effects of treatment include orthostatic hypotension, increased heart rate after injection, dizziness, nausea, tachycardia, hypercalcaemia, hypercalciuria and injection-site reactions. Blood pressure, cardiac status and ECG should be assessed prior to beginning treatment with abaloparatide. Treatment is limited to a maximum of 18 months due to an increased incidence of osteosarcoma observed in long-term rat studies; ELADYNOS is contraindicated in patients with known risk factors for osteosarcoma and certain other conditions.
